Delight your mother this Mother’s Day with a beautiful and unique card. With the foam board, you can print beautiful and original images without much effort.
You need:
- AirPlac Core foam board
- Acrylic paints
- Ink roller
- Card base
- Sharpened pencil or other sharp stick
- Printed image of your chosen subject
1) Attach the image you want to print to the foam board. We’ve used the MT Washi tape for this.
PS! The printed image will be mirrored on the card. Keep this in mind if you want to print text.
2) Scrape the outline of the flower bouquet through the printer paper into the foam paper. Select only the most basic outlines. Details are more difficult to achieve because of the nature of the foam board.
3) Once the image is scraped onto the foam board, you can start printing. To do this, roll the paint evenly over a smooth surface.
PS! We’ve used the smoother side of the plastic sheet as a basis for rolling, but you can also use glass from an old picture frame, for example.
4) Apply the acrylic paint to the foam board that you have scraped with the ink roller. Make sure that the layer of paint is not too thin. Because acrylic paint dries quickly, a thin layer of paint can cause the foam board to stick to the paper.
5) Place the foam board with the paint side down on the front of the card. Smooth it out to ensure that the image is transferred evenly onto the paper. You can also use a rolling pin to help you with this.
6) Carefully remove the foam board from the paper. Let the card dry a little and the beautiful card for your mother is done. Write a sweet message on the card and you’re ready to hand it over.
